"The Universe is big" - Douglas Adams

It is thought that the Big Bang theory will be disproved as Science develops and a more accurate picture of the Universe will emerge.

Could this mean that Science will develop an answer the the Universe to replace the current ’42′?

There is also a theory that nothing physically exists unless it has a conscious observer. By this logic, the Universe could not have existed before it spawned conscious life-forms.

That is also like the seemingly paradoxical theory of Schrödinger’s Cat. A cat that is both alive and dead at the same time? An intriguing argument.

On the subject of paradoxes there is the age old Grandfather Paradox. If the space/time continuum can be warped then it is thought that a person could theoretically go back in time. If they then killed their Grandfather before their father was born, then technically they should not exist.

The Universe is awesomely complex, and as Douglas Adams said, “there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
