Hello there. Today I was thinking about getting a polarising filter, but suddenly a wave crashed in my brain, dropping the metaphorical penny into the conscious mind. As it so happens, 3D glasses also contain polarising filters as lenses.

And, so I mustered my practical abilities and duelled with the plastic frames to retrieve a fully-functioning filter. Although I did not extend my ingenuity to actually mounting the filter.

Interestingly, polarizing is used to orient bees when they direct other bees to nectar. And if you have vertically orient silver-plated nanoparticles suspended in water, you have yourself an invisibility cloak.

Hello. Welcome to my third post in this blog. A blog that contains the vast array of ideas from the wanderings of my mind. Whatever my mind is. I know I’m conscious… Or do I? There are some studies saying that humans can act before they are conscious of their actions; which will screw up the judicial system.

I might be the only conscious person on the entire planet. Maybe I’m not even conscious myself and I just think my decisions are being acted out on my own free will. How do I know if how I see the World is how everyone else sees it? How do I know that the way I see blue is the same way you see blue, an idea proposed by Richard Dawkins.

But if you can’t be sure of something like that then you can’t be sure of many things in the Universe. Like Science, for example. All of the things I think I know may be a hoax of my own mind tricking me to believe what isn’t true. Someone like me cannot be sure of anything in the Universe so does that render education useless? From a theological point of view: maybe. From a practical and logical point of view: no. But it is quite interesting.

The Matrix could be not far off the truth.
