You may feel the curiosity to understand those ideas, and therefore piece together the plot twists and characters, the setting and the genre. If that is so, then I present to you my own fantasy epic of betrayal and war, of demons and magic. All of this encapsulated into words that you may read at your leisure if you so wish to.

A week ago, I made a visit to Pompeii, a land of ancient people immortalised in plaster.

But on the subject of immortality, there exists a jellyfish that is invading Earth’s oceans. Like a phoenix, it can regenerate its body once it has matured to adult stage, back into the younger polyp state. Humans can regenerate organs and tissue to some extent, but the Hydrozoan jellyfish regenerates all of its cells to a younger state.

Does this mean that humans could unlock the long sought-after secrets of immortality? And if they do, what will become of post-discovery-of-immortality Earth? The World could sink into pandemonium and bloodshed between supporters and opposers.

The jellyfish is now worried to be increasing in population at a perturbing rate, saturating the oceans of the World with their quantity. Similar to the advance of humans with their evolutionary advantage of intelligence, these jellyfish are dominating the waters with their superior ability to regenerate.

A super-intelligent shade of the colour blue?

I thought I would write this post about extra- terrestrial life. It has been suggested that aliens may indeed exist, but are so different in relation to humans that we cannot understand or detect their existence.

Astronomer, Lord Martin Rees says:

“I suspect there could be life and intelligence out there in forms we can’t conceive. Just as a chimpanzee can’t understand quantum theory, it could be there as aspects of reality that are beyond the capacity of our brains.”

However, the notion that alien life could be staring us in the face unbeknown to our knowledge could also be due to the fact that they are so similar to us. They could be living among us as we traverse on a wild goose chase, searching through the vast plains of space.

But if this is true then we must expect a rebellion. Aliens could come to Earth and they would blend with the population, waiting for the time to strike. Maybe Lord Martin Rees is an alien himself and is depositing a fabricated trail of breadcrumbs  for the easily manipulated human minds to follow.

Or maybe he is completely right, and I am an undiscovered intergalactic mega-being who wants its existence undisclosed, so spins an outrageous conspiracy theory in the hope of defending its secrecy. Choose what you will.

Hello there. Today I was thinking about getting a polarising filter, but suddenly a wave crashed in my brain, dropping the metaphorical penny into the conscious mind. As it so happens, 3D glasses also contain polarising filters as lenses.

And, so I mustered my practical abilities and duelled with the plastic frames to retrieve a fully-functioning filter. Although I did not extend my ingenuity to actually mounting the filter.

Interestingly, polarizing is used to orient bees when they direct other bees to nectar. And if you have vertically orient silver-plated nanoparticles suspended in water, you have yourself an invisibility cloak.

As this is a seasonal post, I will talk about Christmas, which under the Third Reich included swastika trays, wrapping paper and grenade baubles.

The Nazis also created carols which were supposedly used to secularise Christmas. However, could it be possible that these carefully revised songs were used to carry subliminal messages and brainwash people to support their movement. So, think twice before you open the door to anyone spouting the words devised by a Nazi mind.

Also on the subject of Christmas is the robin, which migrates to Cyprus where they are cooked and eaten as a delicacy.

Thus concludes this blog post and a I wish a happy Christmas upon you, unless you are a Nazi.

This week, climate change was thrown into question. Also on the subject of climate change, the Government has been looking into new ways of saving the World.

So, the Government gave money to some scientists to work out a solution of preventing climate change but also improving public health. By a matter of coincidence, there was a universal solution to both these problems.

Their report says:

Agricultural food production and agriculturally-related change in land use substantially contribute to greenhouse-gas emissions worldwide. Four-fifths of agricultural emissions arise from the livestock sector. Although livestock products are a source of some essential nutrients, they provide large amounts of saturated fat, which is a known risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

So their conclusion is to remove 30% of livestock so unhealthy people can’t eat them and the greenhouse effect will subside. But what will happen then? The price of meat will inflate and it will become a luxury. People will run a black market of meat; possibly human meat.

Then there will be the meat feuds where a pig will be traded by one group to another, only for a large shoot-out to commence. The victors would then eat the fallen.

Is this is the kind of world that the Government wants? Apparently yes, if the plan goes ahead. Which it won’t, I hope.

19 posts ago, I talked about swine flu and how we will all turn into zombies. But now, swine flu has come into the news again with an interesting conspiracy; not about the virus but about the vaccine.

Could it be that the Government wishes to exterminate much of the population like the mass killings in ‘V for Vendetta’? Surely not, you would think. But then again, this is a Government which spends its people’s money on duck houses, moats and other odd purchases that I will not go into right now. Would you trust that their advice on so-called ‘swine flu’ was correct and their vaccine should be administered? Probably, although you might think twice before allowing a Government wizard in white to stick a fine, sharp tube into your body and inject a mysterious liquid.

Plus, the vaccination is to be given to more ‘vulnerable’ people first, i.e. pregnant women and children, i.e. people fuelling the ever-growing saturated population and the people who will inevitably fuel it. So it makes sense that the Government would want to reduce the numbers of these groups of people.

But what of swine flu? Could the fools in the Government really have the intuition to stage a global pandemic? Maybe not them, but with the right number of power-crazy people, it might just be possible.

However, it isn’t. Hopefully.

It’s been a whole month since my last blog post, so I felt that one was due. But what to talk about? Water was found on the moon, which was a pretty big revelation. Does this mean the possibility of life on the moon? Probably not, as there is only about 32 ounces of it. But this, of course, assumes that life cannot exist in conditions any different to Earth.

Which is pretty ignorant.

There may be aliens monitoring us right now who laugh when they hear us say that life can only exist in Earth’s conditions. Then humans will nonchalantly voyage to other planets, safe in the knowledge that ET will not spring up behind them and bite their heads off, because of the toxic atmosphere or uninhabitable heat conditions… When suddenly, ET springs up behind them and bites their heads off!

Aghast, Scientists will have to re-think all their assumptions, while they suffer their embarrassing defeat at the hands of their conclusions. Humans will become the laughing stock of the Galaxy and the scourge of civilisations.

Tut tut, humanity.

Update: It appears that now, even more water has been found on the moon. The LCROSS satellite has discovered 100kg of H₂0, which would keep the average human alive for about 40 days.

It seems that this week new evidence has arisen for that very scenario.

Google changed its logo in a mysterious move. What could this mean? Is Google part of a plot for an extra-terrestrial invasion? Surely Google would not be involved in such fiendish schemes.

In a statement, Google said: “We hope to have an update in the coming weeks.” This could mean several things.

An update suggests an update to the system, and the ever growing sophistication of Google’s technology. But the statement could also imply an update not for the system, but for the Human race.

Ponder for a moment the notion that Google, with all it’s omniscience, pities the Human race. By ‘update’, it could mean the human race will be abducted into laboratories in the sky and converted into cyborgs, wired up to petabytes of data.

Is this the vision of the future? Probably not, but it’s good to keep an open mind.

Over the past few weeks, I have been in Ireland (you can see my pictures here). There, you will find many cows, which could be the dominant species of Earth in many ways.

Firstly, they co- exist with each other with social benevolence. They do not mess in the mindless extremities of war, but this could all be a cover as they plot the downfall of humanity.

Secondly, they are vital to fertilise the ecosystem. If they understood how important they were they could use the power against us, enslave our race and create soylent green to they could sit on a throne of poetic justice.

Finally, they are possibly very intelligent and are thought to have sophisticated meteorological capabilities. They could also have a good understanding of the current economic situation. There have been reported cases of cow suicides, an act synonymous with recession.

Bearing all this in mind, the question is, are we dominant over cows, or are they dominant over us?
